Certification
Due to its strong effect Hoodia became really popular. But how can most people know what the real Hoodia is? The market is full of cheap fakes or weak altered versions. Every person should know that real Hoodia is very rare. Hoodia succulent needs from five to seven years to became mature and gain its appetite suppressant qualities. That why the authentic Hoodia is rather expensive.
The export of Hoodia has been limited by the African government. The number of suppliers receiving it is limited too. But the popularity of this herb keeps growing up – and many manufactures are flooding marketplace with products with no authentic Hoodia at all or with a very little amount of it.
But in our products we use only 100% pure Hoodia grown in the South African desert Kalahari. It’s certified to be authentic by the Western Cape Conservation Authority of South Africa. To prove the authenticity of pure South African Hoodia you need two documents - the C.I.T.E.S Certificate and the Analytical Report. We have both of them and are proud to display these certificates to our customers.

Ultra Herbal Quality Control
We use only precursors and raw materials that are of the highest quality. In addition all raw materials must pass the strongest quality control before utilization. We also do our in house quality inspection to test materials for purity.
Quality control engineers have the authority to reject product during any stage of production if it doesn’t fit our strict standards. All our personnel have to follow explicit written protocols. Every step of manufacturing process is documented and reviewed by quality control engineers. All equipment is maintained properly and cleaned on a schedule. This fact is documented in logs for future review by Department of Agriculture.
All these rules are specially developed to keep the highest quality of our production and to ensure that there were no contamination during the manufacturing process. All production logs associated with each unit of a product and all raw materials are kept for two years past the expiration date.
Quality control process is demonstrated by:
- Product analysis. Result of analysis if recorded for each manufactured product. The analysis contains every specific component of the product. It also includes a lot number for every raw material and used production methods.
- Raw materials. We buy raw materials only from trustworthy wholesalers. Each one must have a Certificate of Analysis obtained from the supplier. In addition our Quality Assurance team also analyzes all raw materials for authenticity.
- Packaging material. Packaging materials are bought only from reliable suppliers. A specific Quality Assurance team is dedicated to check if all labels are assigned to the proper products. We also cross check all new labels to ensure that there were no mistakes during printing.
- Lot Numbers. After receiving a new order request, we assign a lot number to the product to be manufactured and it’s entered in the production records. The raw materials go to the pharmacy only after all of them have passed authenticity check.
Ultra Herbal Manufacturing Guidelines
There are also special manufacturing guidelines to ensure the best quality control.
- Blending and Granulation. The Director of Operations inspects all equipment used during the process of granulation and mixing before its usage. We’ve developed strict guidelines to follow in processing of lots for every herbal product. After blending and granulation we store the powder blends in special containers to keep it fresh and avoid any possible contamination. And, of course, the Director of Operations checks if all blend are labeled correctly.
- Encapsulation and Compression. After test unit has been processed a sample is sent to Quality Assurance team to compare it with retained samples. This process ensures the integrity of the product. Full line production may be started only after receiving approval from Quality Assurance. The capsules are stored in specially designed containers too.
- Liquids. The liquid products are prepared with the usage of the same protocols described above (for encapsulation/compression and granulation/blending).
- Packaging and Inspection. The final product inspected by the Quality Assurance staff again after the completion of processing. All defective items (overfilled capsules, broken tablets etc) are removed from the lot. Product that passed these control are packed for bulk storage or bottled for customer use (each bottle has label with all information required by the Federal Drug Administration). All ready products are closed with a tamper-proof seal. The samples of all raw materials are kept for one year past the expiration date of the last product using it. Quality Assurance also retains samples of finished products. These samples are stored in special places with controlled conditions.
- Final Products. All ready products are kept in a special environment with controlled climate until final till the delivery to the customer.
We use Good Manufacturing Practices (these instructions are developed by the US Federal Drug Administration) during the manufacturing of all our products. We also have both surprise and scheduled inspection by the Quality Assurance. It helps us to control every aspect of the manufacturing process and keep the highest quality and purity of both finished products and the raw materials.
